Radio Education of Bolivia (ERBOL) is a non-profit civil association that does journalism and communication with an educational purpose. It brings together at least 170 radio stations in Bolivia and abroad.It was founded on July 18, 1967 by five Catholic-inspired radio stations: San Gabriel de La Paz, Pío XII de Potosí, Escuelas Radiofónicas Fides de La Paz, Loyola de Sucre, Bolivia de Oruro and San Rafael de Cochabamba. The priests Gregorio Iriarte (Oblate) and José Gramount de Moragas (Jesuit) are among its main managers.ERBOL was born as a coordinator whose fundamental purpose was to support educational processes, mainly literacy that contribute "to the comprehensive development of the population and especially of the economically poor sectors of rural and urban areas."
